Lecturers, researchers, students and partners collaborate, often within dedicated Centres of Expertise, on pressing issues in areas such as care and technology, self-management and interprofessional collaboration.

Fontys research groups focus, among other topics, on raising awareness of the impact of technology on human behaviour and experience. They also work on the development, real-world acceptance, implementation and accessibility of healthcare technology. In addition, they support the digital transformation of healthcare from a person-centred perspective, contributing to knowledge development on the use of smart monitoring technologies and clinical decision support in hospital settings. These activities aim to help address complex healthcare challenges in our society.
