ICT&health World Conference 2027
Tuesday 26 till Thursday 28 January 2027
Healthcare transformation is no longer a topic for debate. It is daily reality in the consultation room, in the operating theatre, at home and in boardrooms. Clinical AI, digital triage, robotics and interoperable data infrastructures are redefining how care is organised and delivered. What is considered ambition today becomes an operational requirement tomorrow.
The ICT&health World Conference 2027 brings together those who carry that responsibility. With over 10,000 participants each year, continuing to grow, and an audience of which more than 70 percent comes directly from healthcare itself, this is an environment where substance outweighs visibility.
Here, solutions are experienced live. Implementations are examined. Partnerships are explored. Decisions are prepared.
If you intend to shape direction in 2027, this is where you take your seat at the table.
Location: MECC Maastricht
Registration for this event is unavailable.
Information
Where healthcare transformation takes direction
Healthcare is changing faster than ever. Clinical AI supports decision-making in hospitals, digital triage is becoming standard in primary care, robotics and smart logistics reduce workload, and interoperable data infrastructures connect regions and countries. At the same time, workforce shortages, financial pressure and organisational complexity are increasing. Innovation is no longer the main challenge. Coherence, implementation and governance decisions are.
The ICT&health World Conference 2027 is the international platform where those decisions are discussed and prepared. With over 10,000 participants from across Europe and beyond, growing year after year, the conference ranks among the largest healthcare gatherings in Europe. More than 70 percent of attendees work directly in healthcare. Board members, medical specialists, nurses, CIOs and policymakers meet technology partners, universities and international organisations. That defines the level of both content and conversation.
Our exhibition floor is an experiential environment. Organisations that truly matter present solutions already functioning in practice. Participants experience how AI is applied in radiology and pathology, how robotics supports workflows, how data is securely exchanged and how digital infrastructures are designed for interoperability. Discussions focus not on promises, but on implementation, governance and financing. This creates a clear distinction between hype and proven practice.
Integrated themes
The programme connects practical experience, executive reflection and scientific evidence. In 2027, key themes include the European AI agenda and the international AI track, implementation of the European Health Data Space, interoperability and data governance, cultural change and leadership within healthcare organisations, the established Nurse Track and nursing innovation, hybrid care models and remote care, sustainable financing and cybersecurity. These are not isolated topics, but interconnected lines where policy, technology and execution reinforce one another.
Increasingly, complete teams attend the conference together. Executive boards, medical leadership, IT and healthcare professionals meet in one place. This accelerates internal alignment and makes implementation tangible. Internationally, January has become the starting point of the new healthcare year, the moment when priorities are set and collaborations are explored.
From the Netherlands, with Limburg as a meeting place in the heart of Europe, ICT&health plays a connecting role between countries and healthcare systems. What is discussed during the conference does not end after three days. Through the national and international ICT&health platforms, interviews and podcasts, the dialogue continues throughout the year.
Those working towards better healthcare understand that innovation alone is not enough. It requires collaboration, clear choices and shared responsibility. The ICT&health World Conference 2027 brings together the people who make those choices.

Program
The programme of the ICT&health World Conference 2027 is carefully designed around the central question facing healthcare today: what works, what scales, and which decisions truly make the difference?
Over three days, international keynotes, in-depth sessions, strategic workshops and live demonstrations are brought together in a format that connects policy, practice and technology. Not isolated presentations, but coherent programme tracks in which implementation is the guiding principle.
In 2027, the programme will provide additional depth in areas such as the international AI track, the European data agenda and the European Health Data Space, cultural change and leadership, nursing innovation and the established Nurse Track, hybrid care models, governance and sustainable financing. Dedicated sessions will address the specific perspectives of board members, healthcare professionals, IT leaders, technology partners and public authorities.
Live podcast recordings will also be integrated into the programme, offering space for speakers and experts to deepen and contextualise the dialogue.
The full programme will be announced in the coming months. What is already clear is that substance, practical relevance and measurable impact will lead the agenda.

Conference board
The ICT&health World Conference 2027 is guided by a dedicated Conference Board consisting of Lucien Engelen, Conny Helder, Bianca Rouwenhorst and Tom Xhofleer. Together, they combine experience from clinical practice, executive leadership, public policy and international innovation. Through their respective roles and networks, they safeguard the substantive direction of the conference and ensure that the programme reflects the realities shaping healthcare in the Netherlands and internationally.
The Conference Board advises on the strategic thematic lines, the selection of speakers and the positioning of the conference within the broader healthcare landscape. In doing so, it ensures that the ICT&health World Conference is not only current, but also directional and relevant for decision-makers and professionals.
